Screening, Hiring, and Training of A+ Tutors

• Only a small percentage of applicants meet our demanding hiring criteria
• Interview process requires applicants to provide a demonstration of their teaching ability and interpersonal skills
• Applicant's subject area skills are tested during interview
• Current clearances are required (State Police Check and Child Abuse Clearances)
• All undergraduate and graduate transcripts are required
• 3 references are required
• Applicant must successfully complete A+ Test Prep training program and evaluation sessions
• A+ consistently monitors all tutors to ensure they are effectively helping their students meet their educational goals
• Semi-annual professional development seminars are provided for our tutors
