'Common App' To Be Updated

The Common Application for Undergraduate Admission, otherwise known as the Common App, is being revised and will be available for use as of July 1, 2009. There are currently 346 colleges and universities which accept the Common App, which can be completed either online or on paper. The schools accepting the Common App encompass a wide cross section of colleges, including small, large, urban, rural, public, private, single-sex, and coed schools. In other words, there is a very good chance that at least some of the schools your son or daughter is applying to are on this list.

Although the new version of the Common App is not available for use at the moment, you can get a sneak peak here. Please note that areas highlighted in yellow indicate changes to both the online and paper versions of the application. Areas highlighted in pink indicate that new dropdown menu choices will be available in the updated online version of the application.

Happy college hunting!
