We are looking to add talented tutors to our team of experienced test prep instructors.

A+ Test Prep and Tutoring has been in business since 1992 and our fabulous group of experienced instructors includes many who have been with us for 10 or more years.

We are looking to add to our team by finding and nurturing some new team members who are a good fit with our company’s core values and our commitment to the personal and professional development of all A+ team members.

You do not need test prep tutoring experience, but prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring is necessary. You must be an excellent test-takers and communicator. A+ provides extensive training on our test prep curriculum. That said, we also invite tutors to use their experience and instincts to customize an ideal program for each student.

Tutoring With A+

Tutor SAT/PSAT, ACT, SAT Subject Tests, AP exams, academic subjects, general academic coaching

Focus on tutoring – we find you clients

Work between 5 and 20 hours/week

Make your own schedule

Meet with students one-to-one – in students’ homes or in one of our two office locations (Jenkintown and North Wales, PA).

Most lessons are 90 minutes long

Travel allowance available depending on tutoring location

Paid initial training and ongoing professional development

Rate reviews twice per year

Toll reimbursement

The Ideal Candidate

Engaging, professional, coachable

Willing and able to travel to students’ homes

Enjoys working individually with teens

Proficient with SAT and/or ACT

Previously tutored, coached, or mentored students

Graduated from a selective college or university

Available to tutor through at least June 2016

Not only did he get the results he wanted- he surpassed them.    A+ Test Prep provided superior tutoring custom-tailored to meet my son’s specific needs and learning style. His SAT score increased by 160 points with 12 hours of tutoring!!! That put him well-within range for all of the schools to which he is applying. A+ truly listened to make sure they exceeded our expectations starting with matching our son with Rob. He is an experienced tutor who set goals and developed a specialized plan. Rob taught clear, structured, organized lessons, helped my son plan his practice and homework, and taught test stress-management and relaxation techniques. These lessons also helped fill-in gaps from the pandemic.    We chose A+ for Preparation to help our daughter prepare for college entrance exams. May daughter had Pam for the verbal portion of the exam. Pam was amazing! She asked about extra-curricular activities and demonstrated genuine interest in my daughter's role as a student in and outside of the classroom. Pam also noted how important these activities are to colleges. John was the tutor for math and science. He helped my daughter feel comfortable and confident in her skills.
