Bucknell University Inflated SAT Exam Scores Over Seven Years

According to an article in the San Francisco Chronicle, Bucknell University has admitted to inflating reported SAT scores.

Jan. 28 (Bloomberg) — Bucknell University said it inflated its freshmen entrance-exam scores for seven years, burnishing students’ credentials.

From 2006 through 2012, the Lewisburg, Pennsylvania university annually omitted an average of 32 students’ SAT scores, most of which were lower than what the school reported. On the combined 1,600-point scale for the critical reading and math sections, average scores appeared to be 16 points higher than they actually were.

Not only did he get the results he wanted- he surpassed them.    We chose A+ for Preparation to help our daughter prepare for college entrance exams. May daughter had Pam for the verbal portion of the exam. Pam was amazing! She asked about extra-curricular activities and demonstrated genuine interest in my daughter's role as a student in and outside of the classroom. Pam also noted how important these activities are to colleges. John was the tutor for math and science. He helped my daughter feel comfortable and confident in her skills.
