What Materials Does A+ Use for SAT and ACT Prep?

A+ uses SAT and ACT materials created by Summit Educational Group, which is based in New England. Summit’s course materials are constantly revised and improved to keep up with the latest changes to the SAT and ACT exams. In addition, based on our more than 20 years of experience in one-to-one SAT and ACT preparation tutoring with Philadelphia-area students, we have developed our own grammar curriculum to supplement the Summit course materials.

We provide each test prep student with math and verbal course books, math and vocabulary flash cards, a grammar packet, and actual SAT and ACT exams. All A+ students complete at least four full-length actual SAT or ACT practice exams during the test prep program.

In addition to the diagnostic SAT or ACT exam that each student takes prior to the beginning of a test prep program, students take short pretests in both math and English. These pretests allow us to quickly determine students’ strengths and weaknesses and to incorporate skill-building exercises into our program.

Not only did he get the results he wanted- he surpassed them. He is an experienced tutor who set goals and developed a specialized plan.    We chose A+ for Preparation to help our daughter prepare for college entrance exams. May daughter had Pam for the verbal portion of the exam. Pam was amazing! She asked about extra-curricular activities and demonstrated genuine interest in my daughter's role as a student in and outside of the classroom. Pam also noted how important these activities are to colleges. John was the tutor for math and science. He helped my daughter feel comfortable and confident in her skills.
